The Future of Mining Haulage: SANY Heavy Equipment Solutions in Kryvyi Rih

On May 22, 2026, SANY Heavy Equipment participated as a speaker at the International Conference on Electric and Autonomous Mining Dump Trucks held in Kryvyi Rih. The company was represented by Guan Qingbai, Marketing Director for Eastern Europe.

The conference was organized by the Academy of Mining Sciences of Ukraine and the Kryvyi Rih City Administration, with participation from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, leading mining enterprises, and international scientific institutions.

Heavy Equipment Sp. z o.o., the sole official dealer of SANY Heavy Equipment in Ukraine, also participated in the conference. The company is responsible for equipment supply, after-sales service, technical support, and implementation of the manufacturer’s solutions in the Ukrainian market.

During his presentation, Guan Qingbai introduced the company’s advanced technological solutions for the mining industry, including autonomous control systems for mining dump trucks and the operational efficiency of fully electric mining trucks. It was emphasized that for SANY Heavy Equipment, autonomous technologies are no longer a vision of the future — autonomous mining dump trucks have already been widely deployed and are actively used in real mining operations for material transportation.

Particular attention was given to the SANY SET150S model with a diesel-hybrid powertrain, which is considered a promising solution for large iron ore mining enterprises in Kryvyi Rih.

The conference demonstrated the strong interest of the Ukrainian mining industry in adopting new technological solutions. The implementation of electric, hydrogen-powered, and autonomous equipment is already moving beyond theoretical discussions and becoming part of the strategic development plans of mining enterprises. Today, the industry is entering a stage of practical decision-making regarding technologies and partners for the future modernization of mining transportation.
