SANY SKT105E Test Results: Transportation Efficiency Compared to Diesel Equipment

Over a period of 6 months in Poland, the electric mining dump truck SANY SKT105E underwent testing at seven quarries with different mining conditions and geological characteristics.

The tests were conducted on haul routes ranging from 1.8 km to 5 km, including transportation of material both uphill and downhill.

The machine’s performance was evaluated in comparison with diesel mining dump trucks manufactured by European, American, and Japanese brands.

The following results were achieved during the testing period:

• Total transported material volume: over 73,000 tons
• Total transportation work: over 252,000 t-km
• Total electricity cost: 21,819 PLN

Average transportation cost:

SANY SKT105E: 0.086 PLN/t-km
Comparable diesel equipment: ≈0.21 PLN/t-km

The test results clearly demonstrate that the SANY SKT105E electric mining dump truck reduces transportation costs by an average of 60% (2.4 times lower) compared to diesel dump trucks of a similar class.
